3 Contract ends today - got to get off this network! G600 Recommendations?

Hi all,

I have just suffered 18 months of misery on 3 network, having been sold a pup and moved across from T mobile who I never had issues with.

The phone I was using is the well documented disaster the Nokia 6280 (of course not acknowledged by 3 until upgrade time!)

Apart from one phone, I have always had Nokia phones but this experience, coupled with feedback on other Nokia models - specifically about battery life, as quite put me off getting another Nokia.

I have recently bought a new mini SD card so don't want a Sony Ericsson so I thought I might switch to a Samsung G600 black and move back to T-mobile.

I was looking at the Flext 40 Web n Walk 18 month contract which works out free handset and £43.54 per month (with 3 month half price rental - normal price is £47.50 per month) This deal is through onestopphoneshop.co.uk.

- G600 black - any comments on phone choice?
- Flext 40 web n walk 18 month contract - any experiences on this deal?
-onestopphoneshop.co.uk - any experiences with this company and their cashback system?

Any help would be appreciated before I take the plunge.

the 6280 was the problem not 3, worldwide all networks had problems with it, 3 should ahve repleaced it with another after 3 repairs
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)
  • Three network have been a problem for a number of reasons, they lost my direct debit information three times! The fact they refused to take the phone back for repair after they initially "repaired it" regardless of the numerous issues I was experiencing (poor battery life, phone going dead while surfing, failure to save to memory card, signal dropping for no reason, battery displaying full then empty almost immediately), unless of course I extended my contract! I also had issues in that the package I thought I had purchased suddenly didn't include web surfing as I had requested (not 3's fault but a problem as I use traffic reports a lot). Then they had the nerve to admit to the issues with the handset when they phoned to offer me an upgrade.

The network coverage drops constantly midcall which doesn't seem to be restricted to one geographic area, I have had excuse after excuse from customer service with regard to the coverage issues - masts faulty, told to switch network manually, told its my fault, told the handset is to blame - then told the handset is fine, i referred them to the Nokia forums about the handset issues and they said I must be mistaken as no one had complained about the handset! roaming costs were rip-off and very difficult to find out ahead of travelling, it took me over 30 minutes on the phone to get the PAC number from them and the customer service simply stinks.

So, I am afraid it has been both the phone and 3 that have been problematical for me!
