Cancelled flight Compensation & Delay Expenses

Good morning, My Easyjet flight was cancelled less than 24hrs before we were due to fly. The next available flight was over 24hrs later. I did decide to take the later flight but incurred extra costs for food & accommodation.

Is anyone able to confirm if I should claim the legal entitlement of £220 for my flight being cancelled, which I can do using the template on this site  PLUS the expenses incurred which I would claim through the Easyjet website.

I have looked and asked everywhere but have not been able to find out if I'm entitled to claim both or if I just choose one of the ways to claim.

Any advice or previous experience of this situation would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to do all the work required (with receipts etc) on the Easyjet website if I should instead only claim the legal entitlement.

Thank you for your time  :)
