Hello All,

I would like someone advice on life & critical insurance we are trying to seek for my otherhalf. He has recently been diagnosed with a neurological condition. When we previously applied for insurance he was rejected on the basis the medial reviews (hosp apps) were still on going however the appts have all now been conducted. With indefinite outcome of diagnosis given with treatment recommendations.

Please can anyone advice on any life & critical illness providers from experience or word of mouth- which we can apply at for a person with a pre existing neurological condition. Where the chances are fairly high of acceptance when application is made.

We are happy to pay a higher premium if needed. However would like to get something arranged ASAP!

Recommendations appreciated

Thank you.

Have a look at Cura Insurance Brokers. They were very good at arranging cover for me

Neurological conditions can be widely varied but apart from migraines the rest do typically result in adverse terms and I'd expecct it could be nigh on impossible to obtain either critical illness cover or long-term income protection insurance.  Much like Cura Insurance, I specialised in arranging cover for clients with pre-existing conditions for nearly 10-years.

Can I ask what neurological condition your partner has been diagnosed with and which insurers you have already applied to?

There are a couple of guaranteed acceptance options, specifically through ESMI or Hive.  The problem with these plans is that they will exclude claims arising from any pre-existing condition, so whilst it's ok for things like cancer or heart attacks but wouldn't be any use for anything which could be linked to the neurological condition, however, if any cover was available through a more mainstream insurer it could easily end up with a Central Nervous System exclusion anyway.

    Hi Both

Thank you for the tips & recommendation.  We will check out Cura! So far seems to be popular as it’s been highly recommended!!! 😊

We mainly want to seek life insurance & appreciate with critical illness as it’s a pre ex condition, it will not cover the ex condition buy will cover other things as listed above. Critical illness cover will be a bonus!

    Thank you both
