Chase bank app - Android phones that work

If you have a  working Android Chase banking app, would you care to post the phone make and model if it's current? I asked Chase, because apart from the requirement of Android 8.1 or above, they say "Just so you know, some devices are not supported due to hardware limitations." I asked for specifics and they replied the phone needs to have a 64-bit ARM processor, but didn't expand on this. It's unclear whether, say, a Xaiomi Redmi Note 10 5G would work. A list of working phones would be really helpful if (like me) you're in the market to buy a new phone and want something that will specifically run the Chase app. From my research some newer Samsung phones running Android 11 don't work, despite meeting the rather sketchy requirements.

From the Google Play Store install an app called CPU-Z

Launch the app, then in the SYSTEM tab look for the Kernel Architecture. This should tell you if it is 64 or 32 bit.

Doesn't help if you don't have the phone, but useful for anyone to check if they do.
  • Ah, I didn't see the link to the savings board. Apologies for the overlap.

A quick Google suggests 32bit. "However, ARMv8-M does not include any 64-bit AArch64 instructions, and ARMv8-R originally did not include any AArch64 instructions; those instructions were added to ARMv8-R later. ... The ARMv8.1-M architecture, announced in February 2019, is an enhancement of the ARMv8-M architecture."

  • MODS can you please move this to the thread already discussing phones ?
  • My OnePlus6t is Android 11 but 'End of Life' as far as official OP Oxygen OS updates are concerned.
Last night I started setting up to install Lineage OS for the OP6T, called the Fajita build, which comes with/courtesy of/based on Android 12. Great, thinks I; updates, newer OS bells and whistles.
Then after backing up the device, enabling Dev mode, downloading ADB and Fastboot I came to a screeching halt after reading a forum post on Reddit about banking apps (& Google Pay) not working with rooted/jail-broken phones!
Not being convinced that the combination of Dev mode and a slightly left field OS wouldn't break all my banking apps I stopped at this stage. Especially Chase!
Has anyone got any experience with Lineage OS and whether it does or doesn't 'play nice' with mainstream UK banking apps?
