https://companieshouse.blog.gov.uk/2021/08/10/closing-your-company-and-applying-for-voluntary-strike-off/When we receive your application, we will confirm that it has been completed correctly and publish it in the Gazette. There are 3 Gazettes:
- the London Gazette - for companies incorporated in England and Wales
- the Edinburgh Gazette - for companies incorporated in Scotland
- the Belfast Gazette - for companies incorporated in Northern Ireland
If there are no objections to strike off, the company will be struck off the register once the 2 months mentioned in the notice has passed. A second notice will be published in the Gazette, which means the company will not legally exist anymore (it will have been ‘dissolved’). If you owe late filing penalties to Companies House, we will usually accept the dissolution and allow the company to close without paying the fine.

Get the judgement bumped up to the high court bailiffs asap and get them to enforce (assuming the company has any assets,)

If the company doesn't have assets to cover the debt, it's fairly academic whether they're still registered or not.0

I’m aware he has a van which I assume must be in the company name as he paid for it using the Covid scheme available to businesses.Olinda99 said:Get the judgement bumped up to the high court bailiffs asap and get them to enforce (assuming the company has any assets,)

I was seeking confirmation that the company is looking to be struck off. Other notices also get posted in the LG.

Hi, yes the company is requesting to be struck off. They applied for this 10 days after judgement was made against them by the court in my favour.Thrugelmir said:

Have you objected? Though if the business has no assets then it's a futile exercise in any event.Okydoky25 said:

Then you've done as much as you are able to. At least you have stopped the individual concerned from rising from the ashes like a phoenix. Burying the past in the process.Okydoky25 said:
