The best UK credit card to hire a car

Hello, I would like to hire a car in the near future, and I have heard that it is better to do it using a credit card, not debit. Could you advise which UK credit card is better for car hire? Thanks!

Last time this happened to me as a customer was in Footasylum in Feb 2020, they got out these pads and filled in my card details to process once they could. Guessing a manual PAN key entry once systems were back up.
