Or wait and take a punt that prices will flatten out a bit.sim2335 said:Yes shared ownership not for me, just seems hard to get 100%
may have to go for leashold, flat even saving and waiting take forever
I have a mortgate in principle from bank, if I get declined for actual mortgate, how long is it before I can apply to other banks or would broker help then
i see no point of going to a broker when a actual bank may just say yes, if not then broker
you think house prices will go down0 -
If you apply directly to a bank, they do a hard search which is recorded on your credit file. If you use a broker, they may find a better alternative, will do a soft search first, and only apply for the mortgage if they are pretty sure you'll be accepted. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Couldn`t you get a credit card for this, £5000 limit or something but only use it when something breaks?KeepOnKnitting said:
I think this sounds like an uncomfortable position to be in. You need to be able to pay for contingencies like when something breaks or repairs need doing. Any chance you can increase your income?sim2335 said:Including bills and mortgate I could afford to pay about 800 a month, if I don’t save any money
