Thief broke quarter window glass: Road-worthiness and Insurance

  • Thieves were possibly more considerate years ago.
    We had a Renault 5, yes that long ago, and they removed one of the rear quarter windows to gain access. Must have just levered the glass out of the rubber seal. No damage whatsoever and they laid the unbroken glass on the rear seat.
    Fortunately nothing in the car to steal so they left empty handed!

    You are probably overthinking it and worrying unnecessarily. As others have said, any future premium increase is likely to be minimal and can usually be offset by shopping around anyway. 

    Minimal. Unlike the inflationary increase!
