The initial switching process for me took around two weeks, once I was over and switched to Octopus SVR it took less than 24 hours for them to be receiving my half hourly meter readings. I sent them a message via twitter and then moved me over to Go that evening which meant on the first day I could take advantage of the economy 7 rates.
Can't fault octopus or their communication so far.0 -

Of course the hard bit is getting on the GO tariff as they seem to have started enforcing the EV ownership requirement.
I think it's right to ask for the V5 details of ownership.
The batteries idea doesn't add up for most even Economy 7 users due to the outlay for the batteries and their depreciation over time they have to be factored in the cost of ownership.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0 -
Sterlingtimes said:A fraud? I cannot remember that joining Go was conditional upon owning an electric car or [more importantly] having the intention to buy one. Was this in the small print that the customer must own an electric car or "have the intention of buying one"? What happens if a customer has an intention but changes his mind? In working out whether a fraud has been committed, Octopus would need to prove that the customer had no intention in his mind to buy an electric car. This does not quite add up.Here you go...It requires more than just intent, you would need an order number at least...These conditions were always there, they just were not enforced.1

I cannot access the extant 30 June 2021 Terms and Conditions, but in the email I had the following choices:
Which best describes your main reason for signing on to a smart tariff?
Only the second bullet referred to an electric vehicle. I joined on the basis of the first bullet. I just cannot remember that having an EV was conditional at that time.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon.
