  • Using my tumble dryer once a week on econ7 for approx 1 hour cost approx £1-50p. Having my dehumidifier on for a week costs £3-11p.

Surely you’d only need the dehumidifier on while the washing was drying, so the comparison you’ve put up isn’t accurate?

Deleted_UserSo in all an expensive morning for me!🙄

Anyone else messed up trying to save money and failed miserably?
A long time ago, just after moving into a new house, I ordered the latest most efficient washing machine(according to Which). Just before it was delivered I had to go abroad and that trip became for an extended period; so a relative connected up the machine.

During correspondence with my wife she complained that the hot water supply in the new house was useless as it kept running out of hot water.

In those days, washing machines had a hot and cold water fill, and the relative had managed to connect the cold water pipe from the machine to the hot water supply and vice versa; even though there was clear blue and red markings. So every load of washing had several rinses in nice warm water! and that had gone on for months.

As has been mentioned the Eco 7 hours may not have changed when the clocks did, they stayed on GMT, so probably you didn't have an expensive morning, but you will have if you leave things to the BST time in future.
