I changed my bedding today, I checked the time on the wall kitchen clock to make sure I will get it washed and tumble dried, it was 6-30 so had 2 hours on econ7 left. Got the full load on made a cuppa and went in the living room, just happened to glanced at the clock in there and it said 7-40! Then it dawned on me the clock in the kitchen hadnt been moved an hour forward, mainly because I cant reach it and have to wait for a visit from my long distance son to do it for me. ( joys of old age!). So in all an expensive morning for me!🙄
Anyone else messed up trying to save money and failed miserably?

The best way to save money would be to under no circumstances use a tumble dryer!Deleted_User said:I changed my bedding today, I checked the time on the wall kitchen clock to make sure I will get it washed and tumble dried, it was 6-30 so had 2 hours on econ7 left. Economy 7 remains on GMT or Universal time (UT) so it doesn't change but we put clocks forward and back.0

That makes no sense, to dry a load with a tumble dryer costs considerably more than using a dehumidifier.Deleted_User said:

Anyone else messed up trying to save money and failed miserably?Using a clothes airer with a dehumidifier on low will use a LOT less energy than a tumble drier.Or do as a friend does (who also lives in a flat), use a clothes airer in the dining room/spare room, crack the window open and shut the door. Whilst it does take substantially longer to dry, it's vastly cheaper, and a lot of it can be put away without ironing so even more energy saving.3
