Morning all
Dry and cold here but no rain atm which is nice. Off to work for me and I like Thursdays group so all good, the one I dont like too much was not in yesterday so we had a peaceful day.
Got my meeting tonight which I am looking forward to,I am leaving work a bit early as I have an appointment first but will then get home and have a quick hoover through. DW been emptied this morning and I will put a wash on before I go to work.
Snoozer I hope all goes well with the scan today xxx
Nels you are welcome my lovely xx
Gers where were the t-shirts from ? I used to get M & S but they are so thin now that you have to wear a top underneath which defeats the object a bit ! I also need a long t shirt as I am very tall. xx
Have good days all xxx

Good morning. Very very windy here today. Thank you for the welcomes.Had a NSD yesterday and made a meal out of leftovers (chilli burritos). Kids are at holiday camp today and I'm working. Also hoping to pot up some broccoli seedlings and tackle the mountain of ironing.Feels good to be back in a routine after a few days of holiday!Have a good day all15

Good morning, and thanks for starting Ruby.I haven't posted for a while because I haven't been very well, but the magic antibiotics have worked and I feel much better. Still coughing, but I know that coughs go on for a bit.I haven't even been reading along, I must read back and see what everyone has been up to.I did read yesterday's postings, and was sorry to see that NRA's dad had passed away - condolences to you NRA.Nelski, hope that you get your mum sorted out. It's a worry for you.Hope everyone has as good a day as they can, take care folks.15

Morning all - thanks for starting us off Ruby.Yesterday was very cold and mostly very wet with some bright sunny bits. Today is meant to be drier, so far there's a high wind and lots of cloud. I'm going to risk doing a washing load and put it out on the line and keep my fingers tightly crossed. 😄
My day was only disturbed by a visit from an old friend who made my lovely mantelpiece and bathroom cabinet, haven't seen him for ages. Whilst he was here my dog-walking neighbour called in too so it all got very jolly.Apart from doing the washing I have no other plans. I've decided that there's no point going up to Oban as I'm going down to Glasgow tomorrow for a lunch date so can do shopping then, my fridge is practically empty but there's the last portion of lentil soup and a more than enough in the freezer. Still haven't got any fresh milk so my visitors were offered black tea or coffee, nobody accepted. 🤣
I hope that everyone is doing OK. Happy Thursday to all.14 -
Morning everyone
Redruby - thanks for starting us off, I had a bit of a lie in x
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry and chilly start to the day.
DH watching catchup tv, DS1 getting ready for work, I'm enjoying my first cuppa whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was gammon, egg and chips - not sure about tonight, I'll organise later.
We're heading out this morning to buy some shoes and smart trousers - we have 2 funerals to attend and last clothes clear out he got rid of all his suites etc, stating he wouldn't need them, I stated he should keep a suit for funerals/certain occasions he didn't listen, hence why the need to shop now!!
The shopping outlet we're going to is not far away.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks and thanks RUBY for the new thread. I hope all goes well with your meeting . The weather here is going backwards! The rain was lashing against the windows and the wind howling most of the night. They have both eased slightly this morning.
Sparkle's vet visit was started with the usual hassle of trying to get her in the cat carrier. But the vet only got hissed at once! Just the steroid injection last night so only (only?!) £71. No antibiotics needed this time which saved a little bit of money.
Today is my belated Mothers Day treat as DD was working on the actual day. She booked us for afternoon tea on a canal cruise with Skipton Boats. That will be a lovely change but just a shame the weather isn't better for it.
On the way back home we are stopping off at Aldi. I haven't done a food shop, or had a delivery, for 2 weeks so f & v, dairy and fridge stuff is badly needed. Still eating from the freezers when I can and at last little gaps seem to be appearing.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies and poorly loved ones and hoping all goes well with hospital appointments. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -

Good morning
Very windy here, kept me awake for most of the night and some of the greenhouse glass I'd got stacked up waiting to go back in has blown over and got broken☹
May go for a short walk this morning, I feel better but still have a lingering cough.
Other than that it'll be a toss up between housework or the tv 📺 🤣🤣
Thinking of all the sad, poorly and worried ♥️
Have as good a day as you can 🌻12 -
Morning everyone
Was wet and wild here all night but just dull this morning - the wind is meant to get up again later.
I looked at the forecast for Berlin next weekend - 18 degrees and sunshine - will be lovely but have no idea what to put in my suitcase. Not that I'll have a lot of room as it will be half full with DD's Easter treats and bits from Home Bargains. She needs paracetamol and hayfever tablets as they are so expensive in Germany and has requested one of those telescopic dusters!
She's back home from London now.
I need to go into town this morning to collect a prescription - doctor has given me steroids to see if they help my chest.
I need a few bits in Home Bargains as well...for me as well as DD.
TA - enjoy your afternoon tea.
Well I have a few jobs to do before I go out - looks like the rain has just started.
Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all, and nasty weather too, short dog walk & had to dash back as torrential rain started. DH& DS2 are taking a day off- DH paperwork catch up and a rest. DS had the children overnight and today, they were meant to be away for a few days but postponed due to the weather forecast, but DGS is away with Mum & Stepdad for the weekend so hope they call as I've not seen him since weekend and am missing him!I didn't do much yesterday apart from bake some keto treats which are now frozen so I can't eat them all at once! and a loaf for the men.I was talking to a neighbour from up the road, she sometimes gets on the bus like me, which is still not running as far as here. She came home from town after getting a lift there & hadn't realised until it went back down the main road & had to get up from her seat quick before it went further away. She asked the driver when it would be back our way and he said 'no idea'! Yet the website is still showing live departure times for here and no notices otherwise.I need to do a freezer search for tea ( and make some space!) The fridge is looking a bit bare but I decided not to have a Mr T delivery this week as I'm still annoyed by all the missing items that didnt have a sub. Can't believe they didnt have one for an ordinary white loaf.Sorry to hear you've not been well Scarlet.Have a good day all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'.
