Incorrect SEISS ammount on Self Assessment Form

I sat down this afternoon to complete my self assessment tax return and the first prompt it gives you is a total of your SEISS grants that need to be included in your tax return.
HMRC has given me a total of £9177 which is incorrect and is the total of the 3 grants that I received during the 20/21 tax year. These were included in my tax return last year and I paid the required tax on them.
The two further grants I claimed which fell within the 21/22 tax year only total £5389.
How do I go about changing this with HMRC, as I will be overpaying tax otherwise?

Can't offer any help, but just to say this has happened to me too. If this is a problem affecting all SEISS recipients, hopefully HMRC will realise soon and get it resolved. I really can't be bothered to phone them up!
Was feeling very pleased with myself for getting my self-assessment done so early, and now I can't!0 -
Hi, this has happened to us as well…. I did try and use live chat and they said they had seen a message that they had been an issue and to check in a few days.. did you speak to anyone?? So annoying0

Happened to me too. I got through to HMRC who said they were aware of this issue via an internal bulletin which advised to proceed by entering the correct figure for 21-22 SEISS, ignoring the warning.

@TheRealPoker. Ah really and they wouldn’t flag it as a mistake for not matching their system….0

After sitting on hold with HMRC for an hour i finally got through.Again they said they are aware of the issue and to check back in a few days. The woman did say that if i knew the ammount of my grants from 21/22 I could just manually enter them and it should be fine. I'll personally wait until next week, as I dont want to run the risk of any flags delaying things.0

Probably no harm in ignoring the warning and proceeding as it's clearly a fault in their system (the figure they are showing doesn't match the figure shown in the SEISS section of the HMRC site), but agreed it would be wise to wait until they get it straightened out.

So, I'd forgotten why I hadn't completed my 2021/22 tax return and it was because of this - and it is still an issue in December!!0
