Firestick & IMDB TV

If you've already got an Amazon Firestick (or if you are prepared to buy one at £20-25 or so for a new one (or try eBay for a secondhand one perhaps) you can get access to IMDB TV. There are hundreds of films to watch for free, not the latest box office titles but good enough.
Ask your friends and family if they have an unused Firestick that they could pass on to you - lots of people will have upgraded from an older model to the new 4K version.

IMDB tv has some excellent stuff on it. Worth it for the many seasons of Mythbusters alone.
However, UK viewers may well find the US-style ad breaks a bit distracting - the program just stops and the ad plays immediately without any fade or bumper. IME the ad breaks are quite short, though - usually one or two UK-specific ads, sometimes for Amazon brands.1 -
I have Prime Video on my Roku box, I can access IMDB TV content through the PV app.1
