Have you seen any free or cheap Easter events anywhere in the UK?
Here are a few, but please add your own.
Here are a few, but please add your own.
- For families, there are National Trust Easter egg hunts going on at locations across the UK, with a free chocolate egg at the end. Normal estate admission applies, plus a fee of around £3 per child.
- If you're in London, it's worth checking out Easter at Battersea Power Station for free family activities until 18 April.
- For a free online game, there's the Cadbury Worldwide Hide. Hide an egg in Google Street View and send a friend a clue.
- There are lots more free bits and pieces online. MSE Juliet and MSE Rhiannon mention some free downloadable Easter hunt clues in last year's Easter blog.
- You can find Easter-themed films using this Google search tool. Select the streaming/TV catch-up site you use and filter to see what's available.

@MSE_Clare sent me a list of lots more ideas:
- RHS
Gardens are doing giant Easter egg hunts:
https://www.rhs.org.uk/gardens/articles/easter-with-the-rhs
They also have another stuff going on at each RHS garden like planting and craft activities. These are all free if you’re a member. If you’re not a member, it’s 9 months for the price of 12 if you sign up by DD so £51.75 for the year, for unlimited entry to the 5 RHS Gardens for the member and a family guest or 2 children. Children under 5 are free anyway.
- These are quite cute if you’ve got
a printer:

- If no printer, these can be bought and used to arrange a hunt:

- Here are some places where kids eat free over Easter half-term:
M&S (when accompanying adult spend £5)
Morrisons (when accompanied by paying adult)
Yo! Sushi (Free main, side of edamame beans & drink when accompanying adult spends £10)

Make an easter tree.
Take your family out for a nice walk and find yourself a branch / or a stick with several branches.
Bring home and paint it white or whatever colour you wish.
Stand in a little pot. Tub. Cup. Vase etc
Then you can print off easter egg templates to decorate. Make pompoms etc to hang on it.
Adds a little Easter feel to your room and will keep the kids busy for a while , plus you get to go out and get some fresh air too.Making Changes To Save My LifeCurrent weightloss - 2lbs (week 1)1 -
Recently on five live a young mum was talking about price increases etc and she said that her family couldn't afford to have fun together anymore.
How sad is it when people think it takes money to have fun?
There's so much families can do that won't cost them a penny.
They just have to look and then they will find.
Above all, they have to to stop seeing money as a panacea for everything.
It isn't.
Until they understand that, then they will never know what having fun and freedom really is.0
