Should I rewire the boiler circuit?

But pulling the plug out gives very reliable double-pole isolation.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0 -

But pulling the plug out gives very reliable double-pole isolation.Yes, but that suggests a plumber would also pull the plug out, and not just switch it off, assuming it to be DP.I recall - from when I fitted my own boiler some 15 years ago - that the rules then (and probably still are) were that, if a plug socket was used, it MUST either be a DP-switched socket, or else an unswitched type, the latter meaning that the plumber would HAVE to withdraw the plug to isolate the circuit.I can't tell if the OP's socket is SP or DP, and that's why it's considered a risk.0 -
FataVerde said:@fenwick458 Thanks for the reply. Yes, the boiler is plugged in so great to know there would a be an easy solution.
The EICR report said "Circuit no 4 (boiler) overrated C2' and 'Boiler socket loose C3.'
The light is about half a meter to a meter from the shower (and it's not LED either). There's another light right above and that is IP protected.
What altitude above floor level is the bottom of the luminaire?

If all of the luminaire is above 2.25m above FFL then it's not in any zone.
