I was there for a day while they checked my ID etc and confirmed the account. Now I have a current and a savings account, and am stacking up cashback and the 5% round ups (you have to sign up for that offer). I agree with @Daliah, the app is perfectly fine and quite intuitive.

Yes, the OP asked "any advice?" John's contribution wasn't helpful. The basic approach was "pounce on the newbie and make them feel like a 4 letter word beginning with s" so that they then get defensive and reply with "that wasn't my question". Way too much nastiness. The OP just wanted reassurance that their money was safe. Definitely came to the wrong place for it.
Such is the way with this forum. There are a few hard core members who feel entitled and have moved the forum beyond its purpose. To them 'budgeting & bank accounts' means leaching money wherever possible and woe betide anyone who disagrees. They routinely make the new poster feel inadequate which boosts their egos. Classic bully tactics. They always have huge numbers of posts and collect 'thanks' to use as badges of honour.
