Avoid vodaphone

I’ve just taken the advice of this web site and moved from BT Broadband to Vodaphone, a drop to £18 per month from £38, which BT only agreed to reduce by £10 or so. But it’s been a total disaster worst thing I ever did. The router turned up and I plugged it in… nothing. After three hours yes three hours of phone calls they finally told me there was a problem with the activation and I had to wait FIVE DAYS for it to be sorted by an engineer. They gave me unlimited data on my mobile and advised me to use it as a hotspot. Rubbish advice. Nothing works, laptops sky Netflix e mails nothing. Five days of no internet no work getting done no TV nothing. But the good news? I get £5 a day compensation enough to but a coffee and a bag of fish heads. Avoid Vodaphone at all costs the worst service I’ve ever had.

I moved to vodafone from plusnet and it was seemless. If you fall off the "happy path" you will have a nightmare experience with most "low price" ISPs.1

I got to 10 days without service before I insisted that they just cancel the whole deal. There are only so many times you can go through the interminable identity checks without yelling. Then had to find new (old BT) provider and sign up, another two weeks without service.
But Vodafone are so much cheaper than BT............

I switched from Plusnet Fibre to Vodafone Fibre, they lost my landline number and gave us a new number.... After several calls to
complain we got it back. Not quite as fast as Plusnet. Other than that it was fine, until the latest price increases.
Now going back to Plusnet, I have my mobile with Plusnet and they are great. My plan had increased by 80p in the past 4 years so called
to save those pennies, expecting them to say thats a new customer price but they said no problem and because you have been with
us for a while have some free data to go with it. So paying less and getting more..Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Mine was seamless and on the date of my choosing.
I woke up and BT had shut down their service, It then took around five minute to get the router, network and phone plugged in and working. No aggro or grief
I've now got a 26% higher speed, unlimited minutes, rather than only 700 and I'm now saving over £30 a month, even after the latest price rises..
What's not to likeNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -
Been with then since February, no issues, activation date selected, - same date as previous ISP ended so no early charges, lost internet on old router, so switch over occurred, new router plugged and sorted.0

As with anything , it's horses for courses..
When I was living in Greater London BT were awful . When I moved home , in my redirected mail I received a final warning bill of over £35. I settled ( or so I thought) when I paid up notifying them of my impending move . I never received the supposed 1st letter so that was a crock ..
As for Vodafone . Been a very loyal customer ( mobile ) and took their broadband for the last 5 years . Obviously , telling them I'm thinking of quitting has got me better deals in the past . There are 2 annoyances I have / had with Vodafone ;
1) when I went on a dmp in 2012 I had to get a replacement phone ( coincidental as previous phone broke ) . I went to a branch in the city . I was wearing a suit . The customer adviser just took an instant dislike to me and was really obnoxious . I complained and got £5 from Vodafone. As I was just starting a dmp I didn't undestand everything fully and really should have left them .
2) I am promised compensation ( internet) by Vodafone , and they keep sending bills .
If I never complained then I wouldn't see the money .Trouble is , I have to complain again as I see next month's bill is beginning .
Not happy at all ! I don't trust Vodafone ..Apart from that , Vodafone have been very good0 -
