Michelin vs Devanti tyres on a Ford Focus

Davanti only seem to be available from small indie suppliers so not a big market to get reviews from. My granddaughter has just replaced the 215/50/17s on her Focus with Avons at £91 a corner. Just checked Davanti and they are coming up at £123 a corner, in the ballpark price of Toyo, Yokohama, Firestone and Hankook. So an unknown brand with a mid range price.

Michelin have always been an expensive tyre, but I have used Kumho to replace Michelin Primacy3 and they were fine.
I have also used Nokian all weather tyres which were excellent.
I always used to run Conti's but was out of work and fitted 4 Barums from National Tyres a few years ago. You could tell the difference cornering in the wet, more wallow and back end drift even at low speeds.
Sometimes you can get good online deals at KwikFit with an extra discount code from Google0 -

Blackcircles is another excellent one to try when doing that, ASDA tyres also, Kwikfit as you say and Camskill (though Camskill are supply only so need to factor in £15 to £20 per corner for removal, fitting, balancing and disposal of each tyre).

Tigars are definitely Serbian-produced Michelins though.0 -
@jimbo6977 Seems like that rule refers to “active calls to boycott organisations”, so I don’t think my post breaches that on either clause.Arch0

Asda tyres were the cheapest I found. 30 a tyre cheaper for the rears alone compared to black circles.Costco were around the same price as Asda too.I also got a £40 Asda voucher for changing all 4 at the same time.I have Goodyear Eagle Asymmetric 5 and they’re great tyres. Although I’d like the rim protection to be a little bit deeper.0

Like with car insurance its worth taking 10 minutes and trying the "big 5" of the online providers. Theres never one thats always the cheapest, so best to check.
BlackCircles are now owned by Michelin, so they're usually very good for them.0 -
I have Avons on my MK3 Focus. I now only go for A-rated for wet grip tyres after going side ways round a roundabout a few years ago in a 207 on budgets.0
