CA which allow additional card holder

Hi all, I recently opened a chase bank account but after speaking to CS they have informed me they don't allow any additional card holders. I'm about to move in with my partner and the plan is for me to have a current account and she will be an additional card holder.
Does anyone know if Santander allows this?

Surely what you need is a joint current account, not aware of any current accounts that allow additional card holders.0

Starling do this I believe to a degree. You can set up a pot of money and have a second card issued to someone which can spend against that pot.
Assuming you don't want a joint account here and just an ability for your partner to be able to have a debit card that can be used to spend against the account. From what I understand, they won't be able to administer the account, move money around etc.
As you mention Chase and Santander is the cashback what you are chasing as Starling does not do this.1 -
If you need more than one card, you must open a joint account. A joint account will create a financial association between you. Be sure you would both be happy with the rights and obligations that come with a joint account: https://www.moneyhelper.org.uk/en/everyday-money/banking/joint-accounts
There is some sort of a bypass if you are using ApplePay or GPay, discussed here for Chase UK. It should in theory work with cards from any bank.1 -

The choice is usually a joint current account or a credit card in one persons name with an additional cardholder, I've never heard of naything the other way round. If it's a joint account you want then I'd go with a modern one like Starling or Monzo. You needn't just have one current account either, people often have multiple ones to split things as they need.0

Barclays are in the process of launching an additional cardholder feature for their current accounts. Was supposed to be launched at the end of March but it doesn’t appear to have been launched yet, and no information on their website yet. From what I understand its all set up via the Barclays app, and the additional cardholder needs to be an existing Barclays customer. And the account holder can set spending limits and spending types on the card. I believe there is a monthly charge for the additional card.

My sister had an additional debit card on my mum's account at Lloyds so it's certainly possible, but that may have been issued when she registered financial LPA with them.
