Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dark, and raining to start the day here, rain forecast every day for the coming week.
DH watching catchup tv, DS1 getting ready for work, I'm enjoying my first cuppa whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was roast chicken, some LO's in the fridge. Dinner tonight I'm not sure but plenty in so can chose later.
Back to work for me but a short week.

Morning all
Raining here and set in for the day I think still cold but not quite as bad. Off to work for me and Mondays are I think my favourite client day three really nice people and we all get along really well.
DW to empty this morning and I will put a wash on before I go to work, dinner tonight is quiche new potatoes and hm coleslaw and salad so nice and quick.
Had a nice walk with thr dogs yesterday it was quite warm in places but with a very sharp wind in others, the dogs loved it though, OH took them again after dinner so they were very happy.
Hugs to those that need them xxx
Have good days all xxx13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Wind and rain here too but at least it's milder! The last few days have been perishing and, despite good intentions the heating has been on more than it should have been.
Yesterday was mostly spent sewing the blooming caravan curtains. Just a bit more machining to do this morning then the machine can go back under the stairs again. I used to sew anything and everything back in the day (out of necessity) but try and avoid it these days. The material has been rotten to work with which has slowed the job down a lot.
It's DD's birthday today - 49!! Eeek where have the years gone! We are all off out to an Indian restaurant tonight. It's won lots of awards over the years so looking forward to it. They have all been before quite a few times but it will be a first for me.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and convalescing. Thoughts are with NELS, NRA, POPPY as always. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -

Morning folks. It's miserable outside, the cloud base is really low, there's heavy rain and the wind is whipping around the house. At least the temperature is slightly warmer. The forecast says 'rain will persist for several hours' so I'll not be going out.Yesterday I finally finished the last little bits of the scanning marathon, filled out the gifting document and parcelled up all the papers. It's going to be sad to hand them over to the university though they will be conserved and put to good use so I'm content.Ruby - enjoy your Monday clients, they sound good.TA - 👏👏 on your sewing, I can imagine how difficult it must be, all that material to move around. Happy Birthday to your DD 🎂🎉On my list today is 'wash hair', I put off doing it yesterday because of the cold weather as I don't blow dry my hair, never have even when I had very long hair. When I was swimming every day I sometimes walked home with frozen hair in the winter. 😱 The folly of the young!
My thoughts are firmly with our poorlies and those struggling with life. Happy Monday to all.15 -
Hi everyone,
Gers, on the news the other day a woman said she had stopped blow drying her hair because it took 40 minutes and she wanted to save electricity. I was flabbergasted, my hair is so fine it takes at most 5 minutes to blow dry, usually less.
Yesterday I had a potter in the garden and then we went and bought some plants to replace the ones that have died. I tries not to buy ones that will feed the slugs and snails as we lost a few young tender ones like that last year.
Steve is off to the opticians this morning to pick up the glasses he ordered last week, because I had ordered extra thin lenses (milk bottle bottoms otherwise) mine will take up to 4 weeks because of some sort of shortage. I had a letter on Saturday about ringing Addenbrookes to make an appointment for them to check my retina so I shall do that this morning.
Hopefully Crystal will be testing negative today because she has her 20 week scan, she'd had covid for several days on Saturday and the line was very faint so she should be clear now.
Have a good day.13 -

Morning All
Oh Nanny what a shock, hope everything is sorted out quickly. DD still doesnt have her car back after it was hit in the middle of February, hope yours is quicker.
Not a good start to my holidays, I have tested positive for Covid. Again. At least I know why I've been feeling rotten for the last few days. So thankful I didn't go to see my elderly Aunt at the weekend.
Hope you all have a good Monday, thinking of our poorlies. Take care. XX13 -
Morning all from a very wet North West, cue a sulky dog.She hates going out in the rain, well I'm not fond either but needs must
No DGC school pick ups now for 2 weeks thank goodness but I'll probably get asked for my services at some point, I don't mind really ,love having them.DS was going to take them away for a few days to the Lakes but postponed due to the rainy forecast.
Snoozer my hairs like that too.I dug some steaks out of the freezer for tea last night, they were part of previous meal deals & I hadn't noticed one pack was garlic butter and the other peppercorn, just gave all the garlic butter to DS and cooked a bit extra pepper sauce. The low carbing is having an effect now, my clothes aren't as tight and I'm quite enjoying having lots of veg now instead of potatoes, rice etc. Cabbage & leek stir fried with caraway seeds are a favourite, cabbage also features in hm coleslaw too, make a batch so it's handy ( and thrifty) We did a top up shop yesterday after DGD football match, needed after all my missing items from my delivery last week!
Florence, how sad for your friends DDRight better go and do something useful, hope you all have good days, or at least getting better days x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)15 -
Camelot - 😞😍 that's just rubbish, especially at the start of your holidays. Just rest up!
Bella - welcome home, it's good that you had some sunshine.Nan - most buses have CCTV everywhere so the collision should be there. Hope it gets sorted soon.Florence - such dreadful news. 🌺
Rosy - 👏👏
Nels - hope that your DM is improving and that you're able to relax a bit more.11
