Morning all, raining here, cats are unhappy, they keep looking at me like, make it stop or we claw you in your sleep...Feeling much perkier except for the cough that doesn't want to go and the occasional dizzy spell, but otherwise unscathed, yippee! Had the fire going on and off the last few days, bella, bet it was a shock too, it was to me! No plans for today, there's quite a bit of washing to do, but it 'd have to be tumble dried, which, in this climate, is enough to make me cry. I used up some more stuff from the freezer at the weekend, chuck together meals, so there's not much left in the chest one now, I might see if I can shoehorn it in the fridge freezer so I can defrost it. My tomato seeds have sprung up for the most part, so now I need mroe compost, still no car, really beginning to need it now.Nanny, I bet that was a bit of shock, hope they can get it fixed asap. Sorry about your friend...Florence, bit of a shock there too..Nelski, well done you for the pushing to get the right thing done, you deserve a week in pj's let alone one day..and maybe a waiter or two as well. Rosy, well done..Gers, I don't either, I used to scrunch it up in a bun when it was long so it would come out curly. Now I just run my finger through it and away...snoozer, careful congratulations in order for you all then, fingers crossed for the best outcome..camelot, sorry about the covid..Sunflower, I dot hat all the time, french chateaus, spanish villas, italian castles, I have lived everywhere
Riht, sorry, if I;ve missed anyone, take care all..don't let the thingies grind you down....

Morning everyone
Well I've woke up feeling quite rubbish - aching worse than ever...I did nothing yesterday to make myself worse I had a very lazy afternoon and went to bed early.
I'm booked to go to Berlin next week with eldest DD and getting concerned about how I'm going to manage, especially as I have to be at the airport at 4 in the morning! I booked it before I had Covid just cos it was more than £100 more expensive for the next flight a couple of hours later. I was hoping I would feel lot better by now....and I really want to see DD.
Camelot - that's bad luck hope you're not too ill.
Wild and windy here today - I need to go along to Asda to post a parcel. I've been selling some of little ones clothes on Ebay - not making a fortune but it's handy to have to buy her replacements.
Other than that I have a course to do for school which only takes about an hour and then I'll get comfy with yesterdays Sunday Times.
Nice chat with eldest DD last night - she loved Brighton and sent me lovely photos of the interior of the Pavilion - I'd like to visit one day. She's now in London and staying in a fancy and very expensive hotel - on expenses - she was very impressed because there's a bellboy with a trolley! She has a lovely view over the Thames. Bit of a step up from when we first went to London when she was about 13 and we stayed in a Travelodge for £9 a night!
I'm waffling, better get on
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care x14 -
Good morning, raining🌧 here and a balmy 10°
Cold🤧 seems a little better today, I have actually managed to get dressed. The house desperately needs cleaning so will try and make a start there. Still testing negative🤞
Will also try and plant a few more seeds, it does cheer me up to see seedlings popping up, little things eh🤣
Thinking of all the sad, poorly and struggling❤
Have as good a day as you can🌻13 -
Hello all, thankyou for your lovely comments re the car, poor thing looks like it's been into battle ! No cameras of when the hit occurred but one of the trajectory of the bus coming up the road and an opposite neighbour happened to be looking out of her window and saw the bus moving towards the car. Sadly the bus obscured her view of the actual moment of the collision, just the sudden jolt of the bus. The insurers are on the ball, as are the replacement car firm but no word from the repair garage as yet. Mr Fix It is taking more photos of the damage to send to the insurance company as per instructions. Glad I don't have to do it as I would have fallen at the first fence, I'm useless with technology, I can only just about manage to do an online shop ! ( and post on here of course )
Anyway this morning I have been helping to clean out the bits and bobs from the car, so I shall wade through them and I'm sure some most of it will be binned, my don't you keep some junk in there ! There's no builder today as it's wet and miserable, a bit like me 😒 so I'll just plod on regardless. No tea sorted for today again either, so I'll do a freezer dive later. We ended up with a chip shop curry pizza and chips yesterday, I had a salad instead of chips though 👼 but then stuffed my face later with chocolate and nuts, my diet is going really well, not !!
Apologies for waffling on and not replying to any posts, but my head, well I don't know where it is 🥴 I'll endeavour to do better tomorrow, promise.
I shall send healing vibes to the poorly ones and hugs to those in need.
Take care all, stay safe

Morning all. We had rain overnight and I think there will be more to come today. It's dry at the moment but dull, quite windy and chilly (again). It doesn't feel like salad weather but that's what we're having tonight. I'm sure it will be fine though.
I'm keeping an eye on the weather forecast to decide which would be the best day for a visit to Mr S - I don't need any grocery shopping but I am in need of new knickers and I've found theirs to be good, plus I can use some loyalty points to pay for them. Obviously, I will be checking on the reduced section too while I'm there.
Commiserations to those coming down with Covid, recovering from it or trying to recover. Worryingly, it does seem to be on the increase again. School Easter break starts here today but I'm not sure if that will help or not. DH is eligible for a second booster jab but I don't think it will happen for a while since it was only February when he had the first booster.
The postie has just been with our voting poll card notifications and we should be getting our postal vote letters soon. We've always gone in person before but have changed to postal voting as it's a bit of a trek to our polling station. I wonder how many, if any, candidates will be door knocking over the next few weeks.
I've nothing planned for today so will just see how the mood takes me. I could be busy or I could be very lazy.
Have a good day if you can, take care. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -

Made 7 Birthday cards this morning. Mr F has gone to post them and some of my ordered knitted chick creme egg covers. I have a Victoria Sandwich in the oven for tomorrow's lunch at the SA. No cooking tonight for me as we are having dinner at the SA followed by an Alpha course. I left about 18 cakes there yesterday so they will do for afters with custard, Wet here this morning but dried up so my washing frame is outside with the jeans & trousers that I washed. Done the ironing so free to do some knitting before I go out.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

I'm booked to go to Berlin next weekAll travellers entering Germany having spent time in the previous ten days in a country designated at the time of entry as a high-risk or virus variant area are required to complete pre-departure digital registration, regardless of vaccination status. All travellers aged 12 or over entering Germany from anywhere abroad must carry with them a negative test result or proof of vaccination or recovery. Proof of recovery requires at least 28 days and no more than 90 days to have elapsed since the date of the positive COVID-19 test.If you’re fully vaccinatedYou may enter Germany from the UK for any travel purpose if you are fully vaccinated.Proof of vaccination statusTravellers aged 12 or over entering Germany from abroad must possess either proof of vaccination, proof of recovery or a negative COVID-19 test prior to arrival and present this proof on request to carriers or authorities.A full list of German requirements and information needed as proof can be found in English at the Ministry for Health webpages and from the German Embassy in London.Germany will accept the UK’s proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record and proof of COVID-19 vaccination issued in the Crown Dependencies. Your final vaccine dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to travel. Evidence of your COVID-19 vaccination status can be provided digitally (through the NHS app or NHS website) or as a printout (this can be requested from the NHS by calling 119). A screenshot or photo is not sufficient. Further details can be found (in English) on the German Embassy website.Your NHS appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status."Yes, you'll need proof of status. I downloaded my vaccine certification from the website, saved it as a pdf on my phone and showed it when asked for.You won't need to do the pre-departure registration as the UK is not a high risk area.Bear in mind that all German airports require you to wear a medical mask (not a cloth one or shield) when inside, I travelled with Lufthansa and passengers were require to wear a medical mask onboard - this was in early March so I can't say if that's the same.Enjoy your trip, it's a wonderful city!

Hi all
Hope everyone is doing well today. Sorry to hear you're not well Camelot.
Well, first day back at work wasn't great. But at the moment, it never is so no real change there. Feel a bit down with it all but I shall persevere. Weather not great here to day but not bad, just a bit drizzly. Forecast for tomorrow is terrible which is typical as I'm going outCottage Pie just demolished for dinner and a quiet evening with the TV awaits......
