Fallen at the final hurdle..

So thanks to this forum I've almost finished renovating Daughter No.2's flat. Only taken six months, blood , sweat and many tears though on the plus side I have so many more tools and gadgets (just saying a MultiTool is my best friend!) so I'm taking that as a win! On the downside it's the bl**dy plumbing as always that's causing as issue.
Last hurdle which I have to complete by Thursday when she comes from back from deployment is connecting the dishwasher drain outlet (I've managed to put the water feed in after this photo),
Bit embarrassed to ask but have standard dishwasher waste hose, but for life of me despite wandering the aisles of B&Q and Home Base not sure how to connect it to the piping (?) that came with the sink. Kind of guessing it has to fit into one, of those two, capped uprights that just off the main down drain, but not entirely sure which connection I need to complete it.
Do I just use a somethings similar to a Xavav 110810 connector (far too big a URL to post) or do I need to introduce another 'thingy' into the piping?

Remove the plastic bung from either one of those upright legs. The hose should be a push fit over the top. Use a jubilee clip to make sure it doesn't leak. Two isolation valves on each run of copper pipe - A bit excessive....Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Kind of excessive but that's what the man in the shop sold me and I don't know better, I've done the entire flat on advice due to ignorance but I'm hoping better safe than sorry
Will go get some jubilee clips, thank you!

Also, be careful with that electric socket, I don't like it there. I wouldn't like my daughter to be in a place that had a socket there, where it would be dangerous if the dishwasher flooded.
I'd have to have that configuration checked out by a professional plumber, too, whatever the cost. Particularly as you've said "I've done the entire flat on advice due to ignorance" and "I don't know better". Your daughter deserves better, though, I think. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. 1) What’s the purpose of that push fit connector in the middle?
2) You aren’t really meant to join flexi tails straight onto an isolator valve….
3) How are you planning on getting a plug into that socket at the back?
I’d probably try and secure those copper pipes a bit as well. However your main question has been answered by FreeBear.
Good luck, plumbing is a pain!1 -

…….and I would be sticking a blanking plate over that electric socket hole.1 -
Just curious, but why can’t you join flex hose to an isolator…?2

You should use 'flat-faced' isolating valves designed for this specific purpose. The flexis have rubber sealing washers, and they can/likely will be damaged by being tightened down on to the end of a standard isol valve from which the nut and olive have been removed; the exposed valve end can be quite sharp.1

Your plumbing of the white waste looks very neat and well laid out, Quarden, and that can often be the trickiest part. Nice.
Two valves on each supply is not required, but no harm - apart from the fractional risk of one dripping from the turn screw, which is surprisingly common. The flexis also look nicely (gently) curved, which is good as they hate tight bends, tho' you could shorten the RH copper pipe a small amount to make it even less, and closer to that of the LH one.
There, you didn't come on here for a critique - but it's free3 -
