    Still waiting....

Also i note that the natwest switch offer ends today so I hope they will not turn round and say that I'm not eligible for the £150 because the account wasn't opened/the switch didn't start before the offer ended. I applied and requested the switch (which is clearly not going to happen on the date i selected now) within the offer period it's not my fault they are taking a week to open it...

If you read the terms, you'll see that the application needs to be made before 5pm on 7th April, not the account opened.

We had similar experience with Natwest recently. Application completed online but at end of process no account number etc, just "We Need to Make Further Checks".

From next day, there began an avalanche of SMS and email confirming account was open, switching was in progress etc and finally a prompt to use online banking code. Which was not sent. Card arrived, without account number as is now normal with Natwest, and nothing in said avalanche featured sort or account number. Without sort and account numbers it proved impossible to re-register for online banking.

Thus, complaint made via excellent NatWest form - resulting in everything being fixed within a week and £50 compensation, albeit online banking activation code not yet arrived.

I'm still waiting. A week and a half at this point.  If there wasn't a potential bonus at the end of this I'd have told them to stuff it.  I spoke to someone at the end of last week who said the checks should be done by early this week...well....
