I understand secondhand fuel cars will be around for some time after that date but the price of them will go though the roof so more and more will move to electric vehicles, especially with govt incentives to go electric. The time will come when there isn’t a demand for petrol and diesel. Maybe just for commercial vehicles. There must be thousands of people in employment in petrol stations that will be out of work one day when they close.Benny2020 said:Thrugelmir said:Deleted_User said:Was thinking yesterday while filling up at Morrisons, if the govt do what they are proposing and ban new petrol / diesel cars from 2030, how long beyond that are petrol stations going to be open for?0

Less than 2% of vehicles are electric in the UK. Petrol stations will be around for as long as there are fossil fuels. When they are gone,so will electric vehicles too.The world runs on fossils, and the so called renewables need fossils to be produced, run and replaced.0
