FATCA / CRS form account closed

Hello, to anyone who can help... I lived in the UK for a long time but I moved to Italy few months ago.
I sent a letter to Lloyds bank to close my account from here, with the new address and they sent me two letters: one confirming the account closure and one that contains a FTCA / CRS form to send back to them.
My question is why do I have to send that form if the account is closed? The letter says updating customer details, but I'm no longer a customer so I don't understand why they sent me the form and there is no way I will have to certify my documents and maybe even wasting money and time finding professionals to certify them.
Thanks in advance to anyone who will reply...

Lloyds may need to provide data to the Italian tax authorities about interest you earned while the account was open. I don't think you have to get the form certified. Does it say that you need to?The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.0

Hi, it says I need to certify the documents such as passports, ID, driving licence, etc....I have found a residency document from the council that I can also send, it has stamp, signature, etc. I hope it will be sufficient...0

Just fill and send the form with your Italian tax id (codice fiscale) and return it, with the residency document if you like but forget about anything else. This should end their responsibility but if they do ask for more let us know.
