Boots Advantage

Thanks for the warning but I didn’t know they could rob all the points if they weren’t used. I just found my £15 worth of Boots points were stolen in 2021 as I haven’t shopped at Boots since 2019! I could never use the points anyway because I never bought Boots branded products; so I guess it’s no loss.
I have cut up the card, deleted my online account and will never shop at Boots again. Guess that’s what happens when we sell our businesses to other countries.

I lost my points a couple of years ago but have accrued some more since.
Boots is a strange shop. Other shops do what they do and cheaper.

Not sure I understand your comment about never being able to use the points: you can spend the points on any brand, not just Boots' brands, just as you acquire them on purchases of any brand including Boots.4 -
Just to clarify, in case anyone is wondering, the e-mail that is being referred to said that Boots points will now be lost after 1 year of inactivity on the card instead of 2 years. This starts on 20th June 2022.2

Points can be spent on virtually anything in store providing you have enough points to pay for the item in full. Last week we bought some shower gel which was on offer at the same price as the supermarkets.

I lost all my boots points (about £40 worth) in 2018 and it was arguably the best thing that ever happened to me. Boots haven’t received a penny from me since and I’ve purchased everything I would have otherwise purchased at boots from elsewhere at much cheaper prices.Northern Ireland club member No 382 :j0

I tend to save my points up and buy perfume, or Chanel lipstick as a treat but I shop in Boots fairly frequently...
I don't tend to spend the points on everyday things.0 -

There are some medicines (generally the ones behind the counter) you can't spend points on. What were you buying that you couldn't spend them on?
"Points cannot be spent on prescription and selected dispensary items, Pharmacy services, selected medicines, infant milks (up to six months), gift cards, postage stamps, mobile phone top-up cards, gift boxes, delivery charges, charitable merchandise, at our ‘third party sites’ Boots Kitchen appliances, on Boots Opticians products and services, Boots Hearingcare or on Travel Services and Boots Insurance, bootsphoto.com, bootsdesignersunglasses.com and bootspersonalisedgifts.com" from https://www.boots.com/terms-conditions/advantage-card-terms-and-conditions
Its also the case with most loyalty schemes that you lose the points if you don't shop somewhere for X number of months/years. I lost a lot of Subway points during the pandemic as I wasn't going into the office.1 -
