  • I've lost track a bit on bits and bobs sold this month, it is near enough £100 give or take a tiny bit so I'll put that down and carry on from there

Hi all, really inspiring thread! Thanks @makingmehappy

I'm looking to earn an extra £5/day, just put some unused things on ebay... lets see what happens

Sold a couple of chairs today for £10 profit.
Also got paid for writing some copy £550. So add that to the £60 I had earned, makes £620 so far I think.

    Hi all,

Feeling a bit embarrassed at how rubbish I am at this compared to the rest of you guys but at least I can now report I managed to sell a couple of things on Ebay - net gain after deductions £18.10.

One thing I would like to say is that, although I haven't done very well so far on earning extra pennies, this challenge has also proved very useful in making me much more aware of casual spends - ie the popping in the supermarket for a forgotten item and spending £20 on nothing in particular.

@Madusa I think as long as the overall trajectory of your finances is upwards, it doesn't particularly matter how you get there. I've had a lucky month that I billed for some extra work I did, but I sincerely doubt next month will be the same.
£18 is still better than nothing. X

  • Well done Madusa, I haven't found the motivation to list anything at all on Ebay this month :/ I took a few things to our local cashshop ( similar to cash converters) and made £70.00
Total for month so far £170.00

  • Well done everyone so far.

My mind's been elsewhere this month I'm afraid, and haven't been focussed on this. I did find a pound coin and a 5p in the street yesterday so I'm adding that.

I'm going to have a scoot around the survey and cashback sites today to see if I've got anyway to make it closer to my £100 target before the end of the month.
