British Gas - poor service after transfer from People's Energy
After taking on my account in October set up a DD with British Gas which they never used. Then sent a large bill - it costs more to pay this way. Have complained x 2. Trying to pay by Direct Debit, but their customer service and communication is very poor. One web-link sent by text to set up DD did not even work. My account actually says I am paying by DD but they have not sorted it out. I think 6 months is long enough to sort out payment by DD. Never had this issue before. What I would like to do is change supplier but of course, do not yet know what I will be paying with BGas so cannot make any comparison. I know there are no great deals out there, but just being with a Company that can set up a Direct Debit and draw on it would be infinitely better than facing huge quarterly bills and wasting time trying to get BGas to sort things out. Has anyone else encountered problems with BGas after transferring to them, and any advice?
