Millions of people are all trying to submit meter readings, I would have been more surprised if websites didn't crash under the pressure.

I'm not sure its commonly possible to submit a retrospective reading? If someone submits a reading tomorrow or the day after I'd just give the reading on that day.

I must remember to mention concerns like this when people are debating whether to get a working smart meter in future though!

Octopus site is also not responding, I'm taking readings tonight and will submit them before midnight or I might wait until the first as when I say they are submitted on the day the bill is worked out to the previous day, even if it's late evening when I submit the readings

For avoidance of this entirely predictable palaver I submitted my reading yesterday,cant think how I'll manage if I get billed an estimated 6 units at the new rates instead of the old.
Time to tighten the belts all round methinks.

Shell and BG are "Having Problems", typical.  They have no problems when they are demanding a payment from us.

I think the Octopus price change starts 2nd April?

(I always supply readings on the morning of the 1st of the Month, anyway)

Wait until Saturday for Octopus, their prices do not go up until the 2nd , and even after that you can still tell them the date the meter reading was taken so you have about 7 days to get the reading in...
