Electrical faults found- what should I do?

If the vendor selling a property for many tens of thousands of pounds won't sort the problem, I'd without doubt find another property.1

if the property is all electric it will most likely be economy 7 in which case the water heats up over night, same with the heating (Storage heaters). The meter has more than likely run out of credit hence nothing working0

It's reasonable to ask the vendor to top up the meter, so that you can see all the electrics running. If they say no to that, you'll have to consider whether to go ahead with the purchase. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?3

A certain level of heating might even be a condition of the vendors insurance (although not your problem if vendor chooses to self-insure)
