Update to this thread.  I am looking at Santander as an option to move my current account to but have been unable to find if they have this feature, or indeed instant spending notifications.  Any Santander customers that can conform please?

TBH this isn't something I'd change bank over.
If it was an 'issue' for me, I'd just look at the "balance after pending" figure and imagine in my head that it just said "balance".

    But that's just me.

I know and fair enough, but it is for me.  So if anyone has a view/input on Santander I'd appreciate it.

Yesterday I did an online card payment and it shows in pending twice, now I know I will only de debited once and the other one will drop off so I can't understand why anyone would once the pre-authorization to actually reduce account balance?

My Halifax app shows both balance & balance after pending, which isn't what the OP wants.

I'd imagine all of the LBG brands are the same, as they all use the same app with different branding.

On Lloyds app the main balance shown is the balance after pending
