With equivalent use the SSD will accumulate just as much clutter as a HD. SSDs do not cure the clutter problem. A new installation on a HD would also start out 'clean' but an OS reinstall is the nuclear option and not the route most people would choose to take every time their system gets a bit laggy.Jenni_D said:If your hard disk is going round in loops due to poor configuration and clutter, so will your SSD - it will just do it faster.
Only if you clone the HDD to the SSD ... if an SSD is being fitted then it is sensible to take the path of doing a fresh install of Windows.

I use CCleaner for my Acer i5 laptop. Works well.
I think having quite a few services running in Task Manager is normal. Also I have power settings set to ‘best performance’ rather than appearance.
Might be worth running a full virus scan and also a defragmentation check on the system drive.

Another up for Glary Utilities. But untick registry cleanup, it's always risky letting an app in there.
I also use Wise Care 365.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
