Booking flights

Normally I just book return flights and sort out accomodation myself as I travel around...... Given the times we are in I am thinking of booking return flights and just the first two nights accomodation of a month long trip through Trailfinders to make a package. Are there advantages /disadvantages to doing this over booking flights direct with the airline (possibly Emirates) and using booking.com refundable booking for the first two nights accomodation.

You'll have just as much in terms of rights booking directly with the airline/Booking and Emirates are unlikely to go bust. As you're presumably looking at Long Haul, for additional protection I'd use a credit card.
Agents can charge fees for things like refunds where under UK261 airlines can't. You sound like a reasonably independent traveller, so not using an agent may be beneficial to you.💙💛 💔0
