I’ve kept some in cash within the investment from last year but unsure when to use it, can you get more for your money in a falling market as it is now or is that not the way to look at it
Markets seem destined to fall rather than rise in the medium term. The difficulty is in timing the bottom when it finally arrives. Remember also that much of the eventual return will come from reinvested income (dividends paid out). Not growth of the underlying company share prices.
Thanks - So should I leave the money in cash for the time being. It’s a 60/40 tracker
I don’t need to access the fund so it is a long term investment
No one can make that decision for you. Markets are driven by differing views. Sometimes the majority are positive, other times negative. Takes two parties to conduct a trade.
