When to tell UC I’ve got a new job

I’m a single parent to 2 school age daughters and I earn £12000 a year and therefore get universal credit. However I’ve just been told that I’ve got a job I applied for. My wage will be £19651 a year. I’ve not got a start date yet as checks need to be done first.
Do I tell UC when I know the start date, or when I actually start the job. Or will HMRC inform them as my wage etc will obviously change?
Thanks for any advice x

You will need to report the change of circumstances when you start the new job. Whether there will continue to be any entitlement to UC will depend on what your maximum UC entitlement is and the earnings you receive during your assessment period.

Yes, as @poppy12345 says, you can only report the change once you've started, as it will ask for the date the job started and not allow you to enter a date in the future. Presumably intended to prevent people reporting they will be starting work next month and then it never happens.

Thank you both! According to the entitled to site I will still be eligible for UC but a lesser amount of course
