ADR Schemes or anything else - options for dispute with a tradesman (plumber)?

Hi all
I'm in a dispute with a plumber. We've reached a stalemate. I'm pretty sure he's not a member of a trades association, although he keeps ignoring the question. He said he will consider ADR schemes, but now seems to be rethinking...
As he keeps changing his mind, I've been looking into ADR schemes to suggest to him, to try and progress matters. I can't find any ADRs that are free to both the consumer and business (he's a sole trader) and so wondered if anyone here knows of any?
In case it's relevant, we've only made part payment, so it is the trader looking to recover his money; not us looking to claim money back.
Many thanks

I'm not sure why anybody would do it for free? They'd be giving up their (professional) time to provide a service to you / the plumber.1

If this is related to the previously mentioned situation, you're best off sticking to one thread so people can see the context, otherwise this is the third thread on the same subject.

This thread now... Yes, it does relate to the same matter. But being a specific, general question which isn't really directly related to the matter itself, I thought it made more sense to ask separately. Otherwise, someone who might know about and what to respond regarding ADR options would a) Not know from the title that ADR is being discussed, and/or b) Would have to read through a page and a half of posts to reach my question about ADR.
All that being said, if it is not appropriate to ask separately, then so be it.
Thanks both for the replies1 -
No worries, it will probably save you having to answer a lot of questions you've already answered on the other threads.1

Don't pay, let him take you to court, let the court decide.0

There's no free ADR schemes for disputes - this is exactly what the Small Claims court system is for.
Let him take you to court, and then put your case forward.0
