    @guysl80 - bear in mind you won't be eligible for UC if you have more than £16,000 in savings, so it might be that you're not eligible until after you've paid the house deposit. 
    @GentleGiant01 - it'll depend on whether you work as well and whether you have kids. There are plenty free online calculators for you to find out if you're eligible. 
    It baffles my mind that people earning over £2k are able to get Govt help - yet a relative of mine who can’t work (blind in one eye and last lost the use of her left leg) can’t get any more than JSA which is pennies, and is barely about to feed herself. 

    PIP, UC with the extra entitlement (unless she has over £16k in savings, 2nd home etc), it's worth her doing a benefit check on entitled to.

    One more question.

    1) Do we need to attend an interview? I am currently working full time and with regular OT i approx work around 50 hours per week. Will they ask me to find a better paid job?
