Morning everyone
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot - forecast is for a decent day - we'll see. I have wash load ready to peg out on the line, got a load line dried yesterday.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and brekkie whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was fish, chips and beans for the menfolk. I had fish and roasted veg.
Yesterday work was busy on and off, we have several staff off - so we'll see if anyone is back today.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's another fine start here, we've had some lovely settled weather lately.Happy birthday for yesterday Camelot, hope you enjoyed your day. There's been a flurry of birthdays in the last few weeks.Yesterday was ok, I visited my friend and was there longer than I intended, we talked and talked! I used to go every week pre Covid and sometimes we used to go out for coffee in our little town, or get the bus over to a shopping centre a few miles away. I don't see that happening again as she has become so frail and will be 88 this year, but you never know.My own dad used to hop on the bus and go to Newcastle when he was in his early ninetiesI don't know what's happening today, I've got some small sewing jobs to finish, there's always pottering type jobs to do.We'll go to the quiz tonight as usual.Hope everyone has a good day - thoughts to our poorly people and those struggling with life problems.Take care folks.16

Morning folks. It's a dull morning here though warm with the promise of some heat later. Last night in bed I was too hot for the first time since September last year. 😀
After my cleaner had gone yesterday I cracked on with the blooming scanning, I'd hoped to finish it before Thursday but not sure now, it'll depend on the weather. There's nothing else planned, I'm saving myself for a busy three days in Glasgow later this week.My sending thoughts to Ruby and Poppy with more to Nelski and her DM and NRA and her DF. 🌺
Happy Tuesday to all.16 -
Morning All
Bright again this morning, we're certainly having some good weather at the moment. Washing was all dry yesterday, now I need to make up the beds again.
I've decided to have a day at home, this cold has got the better of me so I'll go back to bed in a bit. I can do some work from home later if I need to.
Thinking of you Ruby and NRA.
Hope you're OK Nelski.
Hugs to anyone in need.
Take care. XX

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another lovely day forecast and it's getting warmer. No heating on this morning for the first time in months!
I pottered on with a few catching up jobs yesterday but more waiting in the wings. I also did a load of shredding of paperwork that no longer needed to be kept. Most satisfying.
I had bad news from my oldest buddy yesterday. She found a lump 2 weeks ago and was fast tracked to the breast clinic. Her appointment was yesterday and it has been confirmed that it is cancer. A biopsy was done and she has to go back next Tuesday for the result, as well as plans for treatment. They have told her it is treatable and she was lucky to find it early so it's fingers crossed for her. We are meeting as usual today for morning coffee and lunch but I imagine it will be more subdued than usual. She is not a worrier like me and it was a shock to her as she really expected it to be nothing sinister.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Thinking especially of NELS and DM, NRA and DF and also RUBY and her family coping with their family tragedy. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Another crisp, bright day here. Pup's bedding is in the washer, so will hang that out once finished. I was so tired yesterday. Finished work then cooked a new recipe fish pie, then had to get fuel and food shopping. I was asleep in the chair by 9pm! Fuel was 177.9p at BP so thought I'd go to Sainsbobs as usually cheaper - err no - 181.9p Was running on fumes by then, so just put £40 in.
Unfortunately 2 people from Saturday's party have succumbed to covid including BIL. Luckily I spent most of the night washing up(!) so hopefully will dodge it - test negative so far.
More WFH today, will walk pup at lunchtime. Dinner is mac n cheese for DH and DS2. I will have something SW friendly. Will visit my neighbour after work for a cuppa. She's had bad news about her divorce financial settlement - how some people sleep at night just baffles me.
Hugs to all those in need and especially thinking of Ruby, Nelski and her Mum, NRA and her Dad, poppy, TA's BFF and anyone else who could do with one.

Morning everyone
Lovely bright morning again - hope it continues.
Need to clean the bathrooms this morning, then I'll get the towels in to wash and out on the line before I go to work.
TA - bad news about your friend - she was lucky to get an appointment so quickly
Camelot - your sensible to have the day at home - have a nice cosy day.
Well I really have nothing else to say! I still feel tired all the time - up to week 9 now and I have a doctors appointment on Thursday. Could do with a sudden burst of energy!
I've been wondering about Hester, she hasn't posted for a long time.
Have a good day everyone. Take care x16 -

Bright and sunny day here, the wm is on with bedding which I will hang out to dry, there is another load to go in after.
We saw my other nephews yesterday bless them they are all trying to be so brave but the eldest one broke down when I hugged him, its just so sad for everyone, His mum (my SIL) has not stopped crying since it happened she is not able to eat anything and is in such a state, we dropped some smoothies round to her to see if she could drink a little of them.
My work have been great and have given me this week off as compasionate leave, there is no way I could go in and deal with the clients like this.
Thank you all again for your support it really does mean a lot xxxx
Camelot I am sorry I missed your Birthday xxx
TA sorry to hear about your friend its a scary time, but tell her to just go with what ever the Dr's say, they are fab at their jobs and know exactly what to do xxx
Have good days and stay safe xxx15 -
Morning all. Did my nurses good deed for the day yesterday and fetched some more lft's for OH who was worried he didn't have enough.Good job too. I did one just now because I haven't stopped snotting since i got up, hello faint line. so that'll be me in the covid club too. I could do without it to be honest. Anyway, fish pie made yesterday, there's more for today, also two banana breads, came out quite moist, will either freeze one or give it to OHs mum, depending on what happens...Probably freeze it. Although OH is a sweet item munch monster so who knows how long it will last. I'm a bit gutted, was going to local twice yearly quiz on Saturday, it's a friends birthday on Thursday and the Ideal Home Show on Sunday. Imagine me swearing loudly and long...Nanny, I had to google the rabbit, cute! Bet it tastes nice too! No, J?K!! Gers, got my free range eggs from the co-op, reduced in the YS section!
TA, that's rubbish news for your friend but great that they've seen her and are planning what comes next. Take care of yourselves, especially Nels, NRA, it's very draining coping with non stop worry...

Morning chums a beautiful morning and the washing already already and just off to Dobbies for coffee morning and a good natter with my friends where we put the world to rights and have a giggle if we can .
I have the heating chap coming to do the yearly service of my central heating this afternoon so plenty of biscuits and a cuppa will be waiting for him.
My gardener came yesterday and cut the grass and it looks really nice nad smells lovely, nothing like the smell of cut grass to make you feel good.
No shopping needed and tonight dinner is already out of the freezer and the freezer is starting to look nearer to a defrost than it was
Good wishes to all who are down or feeling unwell or worried TA the quicker you are diagnosed the better the result I was diagnosed and treated within three weeks in 2007 and have been in remission for 10 years now Good Luck to your friend .
Take care everyone and stay safe
JackieO xx
