Morning all, I'm not a happy bunny this morning as the builder didn't turn up yesterday because he was chasing the materials that he hadn't bought enough of last week, now he's cried off again this morning 🤬 For 2 bits I'd tell him to collect his stuff and we'll get someone else, we've already paid him for the work done so far, but Mr Fix It is more relaxed about it and as he's the one dealing with him I'll let it be. However now today I don't know what to do with myself and I like to have some sort of idea in my head but now I'm all discombobulated 🥴
Yesterday afternoon we made an emergency dash to the middle aisle of Li*l for some tool for Mr Fix It 😂, it was one that he didn't have apparently (don't believe that for one minute) and he really needed it to finish the stable 🙄. I left him in the middle aisle and wandered round the shop to pick up some fruit, milk etc and oops ! some chocolate fell into the basket too 😊. I'll have to have a bowl of salad for my lunch today to offset the chocolate or the diet will be well and truly scuppered 🤭. We were going to take Dad over the mountain road to FFoods etc for a change as he loves to browse, but the covid cases are sky high in that area so we'll give that a miss for a while, they aren't too bad in our borough. Tea tonight will be the last of the chicken in a hm chow mein.
taff sorry you have the dreaded covid, look after yourself lovely. Don't think there's much meat on it but plenty of fur.... perhaps a hat might be better 🤣
TA sorry to read about your friend, but good news it was caught early.
dp1 hope the Dr's can help on Thurs.
Coxy I hope you have missed catching covid.
Take care all, stay safe and well. Hugs to all in need.

Morning all. Another fine day here with more to come this week. It's still on the chilly side at night but that's OK if it means milder days.
Yesterday's tasks were accomplished - a walk to the pharmacy for DH's meds then a walk further on to Sainsbugs. I got the milk and other bits on my list plus a bargain ys half leg of lamb. I dithered a bit whether or not to get it but decided on yes, I would. I'm cooking it today then, once cooled, will slice and freeze it in gravy. There should be enough for a good few meals for us. As I'll have the oven on for it I'll do tonight's liver, bacon & onion casserole at the same time and some kind of cake to fill up the space wouldn't go amiss either.I'm thinking maybe coconut or ginger.
The meter readings were done/sent in and the bill arrived in my Inbox this morning. We've used a little over £20 less this month so it's going in the right direction. My credit balance has almost been wiped out now but should will start to build up again over the summer months.
TA - I'm sorry to hear about your friend and hope all goes well for her.
Coxy & taff - oh dear, the dreaded Covid, I hope it's only a mild dose.
dp1 - Let's hope the doc can help.
My thoughts are with everyone who's struggling, for whatever reason. Take care al. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
So lovely to be able to go out and leave the upstairs windows open and know the house won't be freezing when we get home.
Mr F is busy with recycling - brought stuff back from SA.
Need to get the kitchen tidy as I only popped in there before I went out.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

Lovely bright morning again - hope it continues.
Need to clean the bathrooms this morning, then I'll get the towels in to wash and out on the line before I go to work.
TA - bad news about your friend - she was lucky to get an appointment so quickly
Camelot - your sensible to have the day at home - have a nice cosy day.
Well I really have nothing else to say! I still feel tired all the time - up to week 9 now and I have a doctors appointment on Thursday. Could do with a sudden burst of energy!
I've been wondering about Hester, she hasn't posted for a long time.
Have a good day everyone. Take care xNot sure if you'll see this nearly time for tomorrows Daily.Hester posted twice on her blog over the weekend. They've left the marina and are on the K&A canal. Steve had hurt his back and is rather exhausted however she's planned to get that sorted. She used to post on the Garden Fence and I was wondering if they were ok. I tend to forget the blog but had a look when I read your post.pollyxIt is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
There but for fortune go you and I.5
