Are you sure about your annual use? If this is correct their direct debit figures you were quoted don't make any sense.

Even the expensive 2 year fix would be only £788 per year,that is £66pm.

Even not considering your annual use it makes no sense at all that the two year fix has lower unit rates, but a higher direct debit....

If the annual usage is correct I personally would give fixing a second thought. Depending on your region you would be looking at a price difference of £12 to £15 pm.

You were indeed correct regarding an error with my figures.  Update below.  Thanks for pointing this out!

Electricity usage for the year - 2850 kwh
Gas -  14,330 kwh
