I have SSE for gas, and I can assure you that the numbers you have quoted are their current rates for SVR, not the rates that come into effect in April. In April they will be on the OFGEM cap, which is 7.48p/kWh and 27.2p/day standing charge. The same probably applies for electricity. I suggest you look very closely, before deciding.0

The standard tariff looks pre April 1st 54% increase.0
-
Since my tariff is due for renewal on 22nd March what shall I do?0
-
At the moment (even come April 1) you would be better off going onto their SVR.
The question is what happens in October when the SVR would be due for adjustment again? It's crystall ball gazing territory.0 -
The fixed deals are very pricey. I would stick with the standard variable.0
-
Thank you all. I will renew on the standard0

@dazzabee your energy use figures seem very low, particularly electricity. Are you sure they're right? They don't seem to tally with your quoted monthly payments either.1
