Hi,
we had 2 flights cancelled by jet2 then a third delayed. They did pay for accommodation etc but my partner is self employed. Can he claim loss of earnings for the 2 days where we didn’t get back?
thanks

whether any compensation (fixed sum) would be due would depend on the reason for the delay in return. eg if it was cancellations/delays due to weather or anything outside the airline's control then no compensation due.
If technical problems then possibly a claim
Have you checked what your travel insurance covers...often it is a minimal amount but something to consider when next looking for a policy0 -
Thank you for your response. It was due to weather we were told, but looking at the airport arrivals and departures for those days other airlines had been using the airport albeit for different countries so not sure if there is an argument there or not. Waiting for a response from the travel insurance at the moment so hopefully hear back soon. When leaving the plane after finally getting home we were handed a letter from the airline advising they would review reasonable claims of costs incurred if evidence provided but unsure on their definition of reasonable0

I would have thought those costs would be any expenses you incurred due to the delay such as hotel or food costs between the original flight and the re-scheduled and any additional costs for onward travel home if thing like train tickets had to be altered or additional parking fees.
I don't believe they would in any way be responsible for loss of income. That is what your travel insurance would be for if you have that level of cover.2
