I grew up with a train track across the road it never bothered me I think I got used to it. I think I’m just nervous about the whole thing. It’s such a big commitment ! Last time I made a commitment this big I was getting married and that was a bad choice. I don’t want to make another one.MalMonroe said:Can I just say re : HS2 - it keeps being pushed back - the government doesn't seem able to stick to a plan and the Birmingham to Leeds line idea has been scrapped. The idea of the train though is that it's quiet and fast, so I doubt there'd be much noise from that source.
I think I must be the only person in the country who really wouldn't mind living near a train track. I'd rather have that than some of the horrible neighbours I've had in the past, anyway!
Good luck with your purchase - best to discover if there's any major problem before you actually move in so no need to be nervous. I'm going for a new build next time, though. .
