Of course you have to remember it was a non refundable booking. So while they (booking.com?) gave you a voucher due to lockdown.
If not used or used & then cancelled again. They may invoke the non refundable clause.Life in the slow lane0 -
Well yes, if they had said something to this effect when I cancelled, but they just said to use it another time. They can't invoke that clause if it's not used because their own voucher says if I don't use it within 18 months then I am entitled to a refund.
Anyway I shall keep trying to get in touch with them again and see what happens.0 -

The definition of "redeem" isgain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment.
You "gained possession" of the hotel room on the stated date and therefore "redeemed" the voucher.
The problem is that it was also a non-refundable room (by your own claims) so you had no right to be reimbursed with another voucher upon cancellation.
Anything you get from them will be purely as a GOGW and if they don't play ball, you'll need to take them to court in Greece. I suppose you could make it a twofer and book a holiday to Greece and spend some of your time litigating a pointless suit in their small claims courts, but personally, I'd rather just go to the beach.

No, but it doesn't matter as this has been gone over umpteen times.
A friend who speaks Greek is going to help me and hopefully we'll get somewhere.0 -

I think it does, because that is the crux of the matter.

It doesn't relate to the question I asked, which has now been answered.

Of course it relates to the question that has been asked. Just for clarity, which post was the actual answer?

I said the first post had given me the answer I needed. It did.
Not that it matters as I have now sorted stuff with the hotel so I have rung JL and asked them to ignore the application.0
