Blu Ray player not recognised

I have a Panasonic DMP-BDT180 BR player, connected to the TV by HDMI. Normally as soon as the BR is powered up, it's recognised by the TV immediately and shows the player menu. There doesn't need for a disc to be installed. It's now stopped doing this and it's not recognised in the TV input assignment settings. I've tried…
