Private health insurance

Hello

 I am a follower of MSE and believe that you provide a god service to millions of people. However I am greatly unnerved by the promotion of private Health Insurance. There has been decades of propaganda against the NHS particularly by the Conservative Party many of whom have investments in Private Health Insurers. The propaganda takes every opportunity to tell the story of a failure to deliver NHS except on Vaccinations. Evidence by the Kings Fund and others tell us that in fact the NHS is the most effective and efficient Health Service in the World. Its failings are mostly due to underfunding.

 I am not suggesting that the NHS does not make errors, it does and so does the private sector. We do not seem to realise that staff trained in the NHS work for the Private sector thereby financially supporting it. The expertise learnt in the NHS is used by the private sector with no return.

 I am most surprised by your private health insurance promotion because this will have a direct impact n less well off people who cannot afford private health insurance because as private health care is used then less people will be invested in the NHS  and the politicians will have less cause to fund it properly.

 So, I have worked in the NHS [DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]. I have witnessed the on going diminishing of the NHS and politicians have tried hard to dismantle it usually with a dreaded remodelling which often leads to demoralisation and slowing down progress.

 The lead item on Private Health Insurance on this weeks MSE and the size of it suggests to me that the sponsors recognise what a trusted organisation you are and Martin Lewis is as a result they want to use it to promote their interests. This is not surprising, but it is a surprise to naive me that MSE are running with it.

Please consider these thoughts.
