Have anyone of you received yesterday / today an E-Mail from Lloyds with a notification about Internet Banking message with a subject "Information about your Cashpoint card"? I have never had any still do not have any cashpoint card and I wonder why they sent it to me. I've called Lloyds and they also can't explain the reason.

Probably a mistake that it was sent ot all customers rather than just those with a cashpoint card. The cashpoint card is a business card.1

The Lloyds Classic account is a current account and wouldn't normally have a Cashpoint card, as you'd use your debit card for withdrawing cash, unless you've specifically requested to only have a Cashpoint card.terryjerryz said:
For dormant accounts, banks often stop sending new cards when old ones expire, so you might not have any cards for the account at all now.
The email might have just been a mistake, but we can't really help you unless you tell us what the email said.0 -

That's a main part of this e-mail. The problem is that I'm unable to read this message in Internet Banking as my account is dormant so I can't log in to my Internet Banking. Also Lloyds helpline doesn't know anything because "my account is dormant and they don't see any details of my account"

I had the same email and logged in. Got a message to say my debit card was due to expire soon (May 22), however as hadn't been used in the last year they won't send me another one unless I requested it.2

Thank you so much, dcs34! It calms me down and now I can sleep good tonightdcs34 said:I had the same email and logged in. Got a message to say my debit card was due to expire soon (May 22), however as hadn't been used in the last year they won't send me another one unless I requested it.
However it's weird that they mention in the subject the Cashpoint Cards and in the message write about Debit Card - these are two completely other things. I just would like to ask you one question: if you have set up your correspondence for paperless (which I suppose due to the fact that you received this e-mail), do they send you any standard letters per post? I'm wondering if within a few last years when I'm not in the UK they sent anything to my old flat. Thank you in advance

I have set for paperless and haven't had any post form them as far as I can recall, and I think if it was posted then it also came to the online account as well. Stuff like cards, PINs, security codes etc. would only be posted obviously.2

They're not "completely other things"; a debit card is also a Cashpoint Card. Indeed I'm pretty sure Lloyds TSB cards were marked as such?terryjerryz said:

Legacy current accounts could have a Cashpoint card. Account holders could have their Debit card downgraded to a Cashpoint card also.0
