    I recently opened an easy access account and "pledged" £1000.

    I've actually transferred in £1500.

    They've moved the £1000 automatically, but I can't see how I move the other £500 in?

    I've also subsequently pledged £1000 to a new 1 yr account, but have yet to transfer that in...it appears they have "ringfenced" my spare £500 towards this.

    Once I send another £1000, then the £500 should become available again.

    Just trying to understand how it all works.   Any old hands at this out there?

    How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)

    Yeah, basically thats how it works, once Raisin receive the 'pledged' amount they will send to the bank of the chosen product.
    You can cancel an application before you send the full 'pledged' amount if you need to.

    So once everything is funded with "pledged" amounts (in this case £2000)  that spare £500 is "free" it will let me manually move it into the Easy Access account?

    I'm wondering if other existing Raisin customers have problems applying for new savings accounts that appear to be only available for new customers? For example, I wanted to apply for the QIB (UK): 95 Day Notice Account paying 1.95% AER. If I don’t log in, I can see the account listed and I am prompted to sign up to Raisin in order to open it. However, when I'm logged in that account is not listed. I’ve had this happen with a couple of other accounts over the last few months. I have contacted Raisin on each occasion and eventually get a response that it is probably a technical issue with my account. On one occasion an account I wanted to open did become available to me shortly after I contacted them. I'm beginning to suspect that they may offer some accounts only to new customers!

     I think a little bit of paranoia is setting in, I am a Raisin customer and I opened the account you mentioned a week ago and when I just logged in, the account is still available to all.

    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.

    I tried to apply for that account but got rejected for some unknown reason they can't tell me. I previously applied for the 1.76% notice account and also got rejected. I have given up and withdrawn my funds which thankfully was returned instantly.

    Clearly not.

    What ever you think, your point was you suspected Raisin are only allowing new customers access to these accounts and that is not true as I had no problems setting one up as an existing customer. You must understand other reasons could be at play as to you being rejected.

    I'm an existing customer, and it's showing as available to me when logged in.    Not applied, so don't know if my application would be successful, but it's there.
