Just look at how many Poles have been homing Ukrainians who's finances are much tighter than British and aren't receiving any governmental monies.7 -

Just look at how many Poles have been homing Ukrainians who's finances are much tighter than British and aren't receiving any governmental monies.£700 for each adult actually wouldn’t cover the costs of giving them my whole house but it would cover the bills and it would allow these people bit more dignity.Personally I think the whole thing is utterly on workable these people need their privacy to heal and to rebuild their lives whether they stay in the UK or go home it doesn’t matter.
You are however correct that the Poles are now receiving monies but its £210 rather than £700, for a maximum of 2 months and its not per adult. so £420 -v- £2,100 but this only came in over the weekend3 -

And not being able to provide accommodation doesn’t mean that you can’t and haven’t helped in other ways by the way.0

Theres advice around for those sharing accommodation , but does anyone know of any formal information put together or groups/forums even threads helping specifically , those fortunate enough to be able to consider offering a vacated rental for refugees using the Gov visa 6mth plan ? I would like to see discussions such as --- how far does sponsorship go in terms of , you can just afford to give the accommodation free for 6mths but do you also pay their council tax? All utility bills ?(bearing in mind guests could have gas and leccy always going at full tilt .) Who is responsible if they have/dont pay huge huge bills? What rights would you have to remove them, if they turned out to disrespect the property bigtime? What if its eg. a mum, child and grandma, and in a couple of months , dad and grandad want to join them because they now also need to leave Ukraine but your property wont stand more people? What happens if you get to the end of the six months , need to make money from your rental again (it augments your pension) for instance - what would be the process if by then they had settled, had a child at school, accumulated 'stuff' and didnt want to move because the council was overun already with refugees looking for spaces .So many considerations before wanting to jump into such an offer.

Hello - I'm new to the forum, apologies if this isn't the right place or has been answered...has anyone seen guidance on the approach of mortgage providers to the Homes for Ukraine scheme? I note the link shared to LV= on home insurance which was helpful, thank you. However I have not yet seen any detail on how lenders would treat the scheme for a remortgage application for example. Quite possible that no-one knows yet, but interested if anyone has seen some info. Thanks0

To clarify, I am wondering if having guests in the house for such a long period would be an issue for lenders, as I assume would need to be declared. Thanks0

Many in this thread would not agree. I don't think you do either4 -
